02 · THE BRIDGE

Between two continents,
a missing link.

Estonia has signed digital partnerships with Kenya, Namibia, and most recently South Africa. It runs an annual e-Residency mission to anglophone Africa. Its X-Road technology powers 200+ public services in Benin. But for the 200 million people of francophone West Africa, no structured channel exists. Goldenseal closes that gap.

THE GAP

Where the corridor is empty.

Estonia's existing African partnerships — Kenya since 2019, Namibia since 2021, South Africa formalised through the November 2025 e-Residency mission — all cluster in anglophone Africa. The francophone West African corridor remains untouched.

Within that corridor, demand is structural. Senegal commits €2.5 billion to Sénégal Numérique 2025. Côte d'Ivoire received $80 million from the AfDB in March 2025 for PARAE, its electronic-administration overhaul. Ministries explicitly seek sovereign alternatives to US Big Tech.

Yet between Estonian supply and West African demand, there is no operator. No structured channel for technology transfer, no bilingual gateway, no holding that speaks both administrative cultures fluently. Goldenseal is building that operator.

WHAT GOLDENSEAL DOES

We do not theorise the bridge.
We operate it.

Goldenseal is not a consultancy. We do not write reports about Estonia–Africa partnerships. We hold an Estonian company. We operate, today, five live and pre-launch products designed to carry the Estonian standard — identity, payment, interoperability, trust — into francophone African markets.

"Each product is a piece of the bridge. Together, they are the bridge."
WHAT WE INVITE

Three invitations.

  1. 01

    To Estonian companies

Enter West Africa with a partner who already operates there. We share the regulatory navigation, the local relationships, the cultural fluency. You bring the technology and the references.

  2. 02

    To African authorities

Engage Estonia not through a single state-to-state channel, but through a private operator that brings curated Estonian capability to your specific national strategy.

  3. 03

    To investors

Back a holding that has chosen its corridor. Goldenseal is building defensible positions in francophone West Africa, anchored by Estonian legal jurisdiction. Talk to us about our active products and forthcoming rounds.
