Estonia — West Africa Expertise
Building the strategic bridge between Europe's most digital nation and Africa's digital momentum.
Goldenseal mobilises Estonian expertise — a global benchmark in digital governance, cybersecurity and blockchain — for governments, state-owned enterprises and the private sector across West Africa.
A historic opportunity for West Africa
West Africa is entering a decisive decade. Meanwhile, Estonia has become the global benchmark: 2nd in the UN e-Government Index, 100% of public services digital, host of NATO's Cyber Defence Centre. Goldenseal — an Estonian company, independent of any governmental mandate — aspires to become tomorrow's operator of the bridge between the two ecosystems. This page describes what we want to build, not a status we already hold.
World laboratory for secure digital
After its independence in 1991, Estonia made a bold choice: build its administration entirely on digital. Thirty years later, it produces some of the world's leading experts in tomorrow's critical fields.
Reference digital governance
X-Road, Estonia's interoperability backbone, is deployed in 20+ countries. The spine of the digital state: 3,000+ public services online.
World capital of cyber defence
Tallinn hosts NATO's CCDCOE, which runs Locked Shields, the world's largest cyber exercise. EU agency eu-LISA is also headquartered here.
Pioneer of government blockchain
Since 2008, KSI blockchain has secured civil, medical and judicial registries. No major breach in nearly 20 years.
Excellence training ecosystem
The e-Governance Academy has trained executives in 147 countries. TalTech is one of Europe's leading technical universities.
